MENDOL – TEMPEH CAKE

Bahan/ingredients:
1 bgks tempe. 1 pack tempeh.
5 lbr daun jeruk, iris halus, 5 pcs lime leaves, finely slice.
1 kuning telur. 1 egg yolk.

Bumbu halus/ground spices:
3 buah bwg merah. 3 pcs shallot.
2 siung bwg putih. 2 cloves garlic.
2 cm kencur, kupas. 2 cm fragrant ginger, peel off.
¼ sdt lada bubuk. ¼ tsp powdered pepper.
½ sdt ketumbar bubuk. ½ tsp powdered coriander.
⅛ sdt jintan bubuk. ⅛ sdt powdered cumin.
½ sdt garam. ½ tsp salt.
1 buah cabe merah besar, buang biji. 1 pcs big chilli, seedless.

Cara/methods:
1. Hancurkan tempe dgn diulek. Ground tempeh.
2. Haluskan bumbu dan campur dgn tempe, kuning telur dan daun jeruk. Ground spices and mix with tempeh, egg yolk and lime leaves.
3. Bentuk sesuai selera. Shape according to taste
4. Panaskan minyak dan masukkan tempeh, goreng hingga kecoklatan. Heat oil and add tempeh, fried until golden brown.
5. Nikmat disajikan dgn sambel petis or cabe selagi hangat . Deliciously served with or chili paste or sambal while warm.
